Resituating the Internet

Published 1 year ago by Steve Beaudry

It's been an eventful week behind the scenes on this website. I've got a couple of personal projects that I've had floating around on the Internet and until recently I've had them hosted on remote servers, but I've decided I wanted to keep them on my own server. So I learned Apache. And I brought out my old MacBook which I don't use so much anymore and turned it into a server. Now I have complete control over thegreenasterisk.com and catharicosa.com. If you don't know about Catharicosa and you're into tabletop gaming, you should check it out. I've created a note-taking app and an app that helps when you're roleplaying starship combat.

I'm also in the middle of making a new section of thegreenasterisk.com that acts as a sort of wiki for the homebrew games I'm in the middle of running. That'll take a lot more engineering, but I'm proud of what I've accomplished with it so far, and hopefully, it'll be ready to be released soon. If you're a part of one of those games, I hope you'll be very pleased. If you're not, I hope it'll be interesting enough to browse and get inspired for your own campaign!

I'm quite happy with what I've been able to do here. So if you're into nerdy stuff, come along if you like!
